Mae Bell Jeter, age 100, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her home in Uriah, Ala. She was a native of Conecuh County and resided in Uriah all her married life. She was a long- time member of Mineola Baptist Church of Uriah.She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, John Henry Jeter; her son, James H. Jeter and her granddaughter, Amy Jeter Whitehead.Mrs. Jeter is survived by three daughters, Lorane (Robert) Kirchharr of Uriah, Ima Ree (Murray) Ellison of Atmore, Ala. and Linda (Jimmy) Morrison of Tallassee, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Ila Jeter of Mexia, Ala.; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Mineola Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Wilson and Rev. Mark Whittington officiating. She was a native of Bay Minette, Ala. and has resided in Perdido, Ala. for the past fifteen years.
